SNOWY MOUNTAINS

The island of Esseria does not have many cold environments, but the Snowy Mountains are by far the coldest. Snow is constant on these mountaintops, as this is the highest elevation there is on Esseria. The mountains are hard to navigate, but not too difficult to the point where horses cannot survive here. The cold provides for a harsh environment, but between the forests and rocky caves scattered throughout the mountains life can be easily sustained. The royal family of Averice makes its home here. The main mountain is hollow, with many twisting caves and caverns entering into one single home within the cave. This system of underground tunnels is dangerous, but the locals are familiar with its paths. Outsiders rarely know of the caves existance unless they happen to stumble upon one of its many entrances.
